The tunnel ahead,
seems narrow,
as this train speeds
along picking up speed.
I grab onto the seat,
as my heart quickens,
there’s nothing I can do,
this trip has been
bought and paid for.
All I can do is hang on,
to try and live fully,
before we hit that tunnel,
before the darkness,
overtakes and I’m in,
a place I’ve never seen.
Where, life is silent,
and words are meaningless.
