Misty Mountain

The mist surrounding the mountain,

as lights reflect back the shapes and shadows,

of wraiths haunting the living.

In the distance the sounds of war,

muffled as we lay under a blanket of fog,

weary souls, damp and cold

dreaming of home,

of love tender and warm,

that awaited the living.

Or a name carved in cold, gray stone.
